Itinerary
Your representative will pick you up from your hotel in Marsa Alam in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle for the journey to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be escorted by your personal Egyptologist guide to explore the renowned Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever constructed. Known in antiquity as Ipet-isut, meaning “the most sacred of places,” this sprawling complex was developed over more than two millennia by successive pharaohs. Highlights include the awe-inspiring Hypostyle Hall, a magnificent forest of towering pillars.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a high-quality restaurant before continuing to the majestic Luxor Temple. Built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II, this temple served as a center for rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amun. After the visit, you will have some free time for shopping in Luxor.
Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and some leisure time. An optional evening excursion is available to attend the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. Overnight accommodation will be provided at your hotel in Luxor.
Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Luxor before setting out to explore the West Bank of the Nile. Your first stop will be the iconic Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III standing guard over the landscape. Next, visit the renowned Valley of the Kings, where you will explore three exquisitely decorated royal tombs carved deep into the desert rock, once filled with treasures intended for the pharaohs’ afterlife.
Continue your journey to the magnificent Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This architectural masterpiece, dedicated to Egypt’s only female pharaoh, rises majestically from the desert floor in a series of terraces that blend harmoniously with the surrounding limestone cliffs.
At the conclusion of your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Marsa Alam, completing an enriching day immersed in ancient Egyptian history.

FAQs
Yes, Egypt is generally safe for travelers, especially in major tourist destinations like Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea resorts. Tourism is a vital part of Egypt’s economy, so there’s a strong focus on visitor safety. Of course, like in any country, it’s wise to stay aware of your surroundings, follow local advice, and avoid unfamiliar areas after dark. Most travelers report feeling welcomed and secure throughout their trip.
Solo female travelers can absolutely explore Egypt safely, and many do so each year. The key is to dress modestly, be culturally respectful, and stay in well-reviewed accommodations. Egyptian people are incredibly hospitable, and while occasional unwanted attention can happen, it’s typically harmless and avoidable with common-sense precautions. Joining group tours or hiring a licensed guide can also enhance both your comfort and experience.
Photography rules vary depending on the tomb and the site. In many tombs, especially in the Valley of the Kings, you’re required to buy a separate photography ticket—and even then, flash is strictly forbidden. In others, photography may be completely prohibited to preserve the fragile wall paintings. Always look for posted signs or ask the guards. It’s better to ask first than risk having your phone or camera taken away.
Yes, credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, upscale restaurants, and larger shops—especially in cities and tourist areas. Visa and MasterCard are the most commonly used. However, for street markets, small eateries, or tipping, cash (Egyptian pounds) is essential. ATMs are easy to find in most areas, so it’s a good idea to keep some cash on hand just in case.
